For the Patriots, their game plan has been simple the first two playoff games to start on their first drives. They ran, ran, ran, dinked, dunked, ran some more and ran some more. Scored a td and took nearly half the first quarter each time. That is a tough way to put you opposition to start when their defense is gashed after playing half the quarter on defense. In the first 2 games of these playoffs, rookie RB Sony Michel has 5 tds and 242 yards rushing to Tom Brady's 671 yards and just 2 tds and 2 ints. So it has come as no shock the Patriots have wanted to run the ball and have been efficient in these playoffs more than the pass. That might not change next week in the Super Bowl.
The Rams haven't been as flashy but have gotten the job done minus the controversy getting here. Goff has a grand total of 1 td and 1 int through 2 games and far from getting shut down last week yards wise, the two headed monster of Gurley and Anderson has been their bread and butter. Goff, for the Rams to win needs to be better. Last week he wasn't sharp, seemed rattled and far from 2 defensive possessions to begin the game where the Rams stood tall, didn't help his team out. He couldn't adjust to the noise in the dome and that should worry Rams fans next week in a dome game.
So who wins and how do they win if they do? Well here it is.....Sorry not this week, tune in next weekend for my preview for that. Next Sunday morning will be that preview.
